Have a very good sleep after my 1st day ride, and now i am into my 2nd day ride.In India the sunset at 7.45pm and sunrise very early at 5.30am. As i had told the owner i will be leaving around 7.30am, so when i am ready to leave, the owner door is still lock. When the owner came to prepare my breakfast of Indian maggie mee and chai, the time is almost 8.30am before I finally start to roll. The climb is gradual to Narkanda, and then came the best downhill of 40km ,of which 10km is bumpy, and the rest is on good tarmac. From the height of 2693m down to almost 1000m where the Sutlej river flows. This is where i met Chee while stopping to take photographs, surprisingly ,Chee did not reach Narkanda yesterday, and stay somewhere 13km to Narkanda , which is behind me.After crossing the Sutlej bridge, a left turn will lead us to Ani,this is our destination for today.By this noon time, the sun is at its hottest at 43c,and make worse by climbing steep hills without much cover. I finally gave up the fight 8km to Ani due to severe clamps on both legs, after stopping at a road side stall.Chee and I decided to get on a jeep to Ani for Rs250 for both of us and the bikes..Ani is a small town with a few guest houses as mentioned in the guide book. We settled for a basic room cost Rs 550,as i badly needed a good rest, and later in the hotel room,we set up our MSR stove for the 1st time to cook maggi mee, while Chee had its chinese instant mee.We did not wonder in the street,as we both went to sleep early, forget about what tomorrow plan is to be.
