Today,s ride is just as tough as yesterday. From the foothill of one side where we camped, all the way climbed 20 km to the top of Rohtang Pass , and then came the downhill of some rocky and muddy road to the other side of the foothill in Koksar where we stayed at the only basic guesthouse Rs 200. We started early at 5.40am and had our breakfast at Marhi after 3 km , the climb continues like no ending at 3-5 kmh ,along the way, Nepalese  workers were seen ferry by the truck to repair the bad portion of the road, they used very traditional tool like hammer to break up the rock into small pieces of stones to fill up the muddy or uneven stretch. They are very friendly and always like to wave me down to take pictures, maybe this is the 1st time they have seen such a strange bike with fully loaded panniers on this road. There is one particular stretch extremely muddy and riding is near impossible, the condition of the mud is just like a mixed cement, even pushing the bike thru' needed a lot of strength, my bike uses V-brake,so lots of mud got stuck in between, but fortunately, there are stream that allow us to wash them clean,so as not to add more damage to our rims and brake pads.We also started to see some ice glaciers when the altitude reaches 3500 m, where extra clothing was added . So far i did not face the AMS symptom, but was feeling very hungry as there is nothing up here . When we finally reached the top, there is nothing up there except with a small cemented hut decorated by some hanging Tibetan flags. If the uphill road is bad , the downhill is worse with most of the tarmac being washed away and replaced with uneven rocks, I had to really 100% concentration with all the sharp bends with no side protection at all, one silly mistake, you find yourself down into the deep valley, and chances are as good as your everlasting burial ground. Chee initially was rather over-ambitious wanted to go until Sissu which is another 12 km from Koksar ,but gave up the idea . We both agreed that will be for tomorrow until Keylong, 46 km from Koksar.
