Day 07 Fri 19/7 - Its Raining and a Wise Decision to get on a Bus fr Ani to Kullu

Today Distance : Around 80 km by bus
Today weather :23 - 33c   Raining almost whole day,but hot when reaching Kullu
Today spend : Rs 623   Total : Rs 7785

Another night of very good sleep and it feel so good that i am feeling much better from my severe cramp yesterday. But it was raining mild when woke up at 7 am. Anyway,we still pack up and waiting for the rain to stop and ride. We went down the street to have some foods, and at the same time to check out if there is any bus to Manali, since the weather is not looking good, and at the same time, let's my cramped muscle have more time to rest.Chee agreed to the idea, and to our surprise, there is a bus leaving at 8.30am to Kullu, and is damn cheap Rs120 per person, and another Rs120 for both our bikes and the luggage, which we had to carry to the roof and secured them by ourself. While the bus left sharp with all the seat taken, and also pick up passengers along the villages, we saw many small children with their school uniforms were either walking or taking the bus to school in this high mountain country of Himachal Pradesh, and looking back on our over pampered children,we are so lucky of living in Malaysia.
We knew there is a hard steep climb to ride up the Jeori pass, and we thanks that we had made the right choice to bus,as we saw it how tough and bad the road is.The bus stop at one of the small town for lunch of a plate of hot rice with 3 types of dahl - yellow bean, red bean and potatos for only Rs30. and also i bought a bottle of cold coke for another Rs30. I am quite amazed that Chee is not eating anything, while i tend to get hungry fast. The bus arrived in Kullu 3.30pm ,one hour late. It seem in India, everything is possible including of keeping their promise. We loaded our panniers to our bikes and started to ride around looking for cheap guest house,a student riding his 21 speed mtb was there to lead us to one that has a back view of the river flowing, according to Chee, this is by far the best room, slightly above our budget at Rs 600. We went down straight to have food, and ordered supposedly Chinese dish of Veg Noodles, more like a " Chow Mieng " ,you can't find any meat here. For Rs 80 the quantity is good to fill our hungry stomuch.
